School back to In Person learning on Monday November 2nd, with Sports ok to Resume Practices Immediately.

The following article https://www.mprnews.org/story/2020/10/27/what-one-school-boards-decision-to-let-them-play-means-for-minnesota  also lines up with MDE input at NW Supt zoom meeting yesterday, basically saying schools can evaluate sports/teams on their own and each school on its own, in terms of covid spread, positive cases, close contacts, tracing and quarantines.  Most schools shutting down up here in NW MN right now are doing so due to staff shortages, spread and cases with school staff and students, and extremely high county rates.  We have given the ok for football and volleyball to resume starting today, and will be back with in person school on Monday Nov. 2nd.  This will also lead to more possibility of continual changes…..which will lead to more stress for everyone.

Thank you,

COVID TESTING  If someone is tested at a community testing event: Students and staff who are not symptomatic, not living in a household with a symptomatic individual, and not a close contact (exposed) of a confirmed COVID-19 case, do not need to stay home from school if they choose to seek a COVID test.
