Important Updates from the Superintendent

COVID TESTING  If someone is tested at a community testing event: Students and staff who are not symptomatic, not living in a household with a symptomatic individual, and not a close contact (exposed) of a confirmed COVID-19 case, do not need to stay home from school if they choose to seek a COVID test.

Dear Red Lake Falls School Community,

We have been notified of several positive covid-19 test results and many more “close contacts” in both the school and the community.

Following consultation with the MN Dept. of Education, MN Dept. of Health, Regional Support team and our local public health, and the information we have learned from local and school contract tracing, it has been determined that the school district will go into a 14 day Distance Learning reset.  With the plan to be to return to In Person Learning on Monday November 2nd.

The Distance Learning will start on Tuesday October 20th and go through Friday October 30th.

Monday October 19th will be  a student material pickup day at each school, with more details to come.

We will have a sign up form posted on the school website for student meals and picking them up at either school building.

All sports and activities can only have a distant learning format for the same time period.  So all games and practices are canceled or postponed through October 30th.

Thank you,

Jim Guetter
