Prom Information

To Parents, Guardians, and Students

We hope everyone is having an enjoyable summer all things considering. After much deliberation, we sadly have come to the conclusion to cancel our 2020 Prom.  We were hoping it would not come to this, but we must abide by the guidelines our governor has put in place with his phases and processes of reopening Minnesota, especially when it comes to the safety of our students and community.

On a side note, there were a few Post-Prom prizes donated before closing down school, and we are in the process of contacting those businesses to determine if we are able to keep these Post-Prom donations.  If they allow us to keep them, we have decided to hold a drawing. We plan to write the names of all Junior and Senior students down, and then draw winners of the prizes.

Thank you all for your understanding throughout this Spring. We hope that all of you will have a great summer.

Sincerely,

Jason and Erin

On Tuesday, June 9, Lafayette High School Class of 2020 was one of only two Minnesota schools chosen to be honored by the Minnesota Wild! The Minnesota Wild surprised each of the 2020 graduates with a Devan Dubnyk autographed photograph, a Minnesota Wild backpack filled with a water bottle, sunglasses, beach ball, frisbee, notebook, along with a personalized card and a sign with their last name printed on the back of the displayed jersey.

Lafayette High School was also given a Minnesota Wild jersey that will be framed and displayed in the school recognizing The Class of 2020.

When it came time to select the two schools, Red Lake Falls was chosen for their successful hockey season as well as having two referees that were recognized in the Minnesota Wild Youth Hockey Referee Spotlight Program during the 2019-2020 season.
